Biographical / Historical
From 1968-1988, this department was known as the Communications Division. The name changed to the Fine and Applied Arts around 1989. General
Formerly record groups: 137, 130, 215, 220, 2019, 184, 191, 199, 137. Records were combined in 2014 to better reflect the organizational structure of Parkland College. The Record Group was reorganized again in 2022 for preservation and space purposes. The Community Arts Program materials were combined into Music, Theatre Arts, and Art Gallery series prior to 2022, so the collection no longer contains that series. Unprocessed CD-ROMs are in the Digital Media cabinet.
